B : 아, 그녀는 휴가 중이에요. Auckland에 간 행운아죠.

A : 그냥 휴가로 간 건가요? 아니면,

B : 아마 사촌 결혼식에도 참석하려고 그 곳에 간 것 같아요.

 

A : You haven't seen Danielle around, have you?

B : Oh, she's on vacation. The lucky girl went to Auckland.

A : Is she just off on vacation?  or is she?

B : Well, I believe she's also there to attend her cousin's wedding. 

 

A : 휴가 신청서 다 썼어요?

B : 네, 그런데 궁금한 게 있어요. 제 휴가 신청서를 Mrs. Rodrigues에게만 제출하면 되나요?

A : 그냥 그녀에게 서명을 받아서 저에게 돌려주세요.

B : 그럴게요. 

 

A : Did you finish filling out your leave form?

B : Yes, but I have a question. Should I submit my application for a vacation leave only to Mrs. Rodrigues?

A : Just have her sign it and return it to me.  

B : I'll do that. 

 

A : 당신은 아마 믿을 수 없을 거에요. 제가 그 일자리를 얻었어요.

B : 정말 대단해요. 축하해요. 당신 집에서 회사까지 얼마나 걸리나요?

A : 지하철로 한 시간 걸리고, 버스로는 대략 한 시간 반 걸려요.

B : 출퇴근 거리가 기네요.

 

A : You're not going to believe this. I got the job.

B : That's wonderful. We should celebrate. How far is it to the company from your house?

A : It takes an hour by subway and about an hour and a half by bus.

B : That's a long commute.  

 

A : 무슨 일이 일어났는지 알아요? 제가 최종후보 명단에 올랐어요.

B : 정말이요? 정말 기쁜 소식이네요., 

A : 며칠 후에 면접을 보러 가기로 되어있는데, 너무 긴장되어서 잠이 안와요.

B : 당신은 잘 할거에요. 가기 전에 회사에 대한 정보를 좀 알아봐요. 회사에 대해 알아보기엔 인터넷이 좋겠네요.

 

A : Guess what! I've been placed on the shortlist. 

B : You have? That's great news.  

A : I'm going in for an interview in a couple of days. But I'm so nervous, I can't sleep. 

B : You will do okay. Just try to get some information about the company before you go. The internet is a good place to check out the company.
