A : 네, 알아요. 이 수치들은 우리가 한국에서 부담을 예상하고 있는 가격보다 높은 가격인 미국에서의 가격을 기준으로 하고 있어요.

B : 제가 우려하고 있는 사실이 당신의 보고서에 이미 제기되어있군요.

 

A : Look in my written statement and you will see the prices and licensing fees I have negotiated with the American company. 

B : I have some concerns about these. You do realize that we're on a tight budget. 

A : Yes. these fitures are based on the prices charged in the US,  which are higher than what we could expect to chage in Korea. 

B : I see that you have anticipated some of my concerns in your report.  

 

A : 저는 한국에서 인형을 생산할 경우 예상되는 비용을 검토해보았어요. 제 보고서에 요약되어 있는 산출결과에서 생산비용이 미국의 경우보다 훨씬 적게 든다는 사실을 아실 수 있어요.

B : 보고서에서 제시된 생산비용의 절감이 어떻게 기대할 수 있나요?

A : 전 생산비용절감을 위해서 인도네시아와 필리핀에 있는 생산공장들과 계약하는 방법을 생각하고 있어요.

B : 네, 그렇게 하면 이 수치들이 상당히 바뀌겠군요.

 

A : I have been going through the estimates for producing the dolls in Korea. From the calculations  summarized in my memo, you will see that production costs will be significantly lower than they were in the US. 

B : How can we expect to realize the production cost savings you mention in the memo?

A : I propose to contract with a production firm in Indonesia or the Philippines to save on production costs.

B : Yes, that would change the numbers substantially. 

 

A : 이번에는 제안의 재정에 관해 질문과 의견을 들어보도록 하겠습니다.

B : 제가 몇몇 회계사들에게 수치들을 검토하게 했는데, 이 제안이 우리회사에 이익을 줄 것 같지 않아요.

A : 하지만 이 제시된 계산들은 미국 공장의 예상 생산 비용에 근거한 것들입니다.

B : 그럼 당신은 이러한 산출결과가 한국시장에는 유효하지 않다고 생각하는 거군요.

 

A : At this time, I would like to take questions or comments about the finances of the proposal.

B : I have had some accountants run through the numbers, and it doesn't appear that we can make a profit with this proposal. 

A : But, those calculations are based on production cost assumptions from an American factory. 

B : So, I gather you think those assumptions are not valid for Korea.
