I would say like, "Don't you have homework to do? Are you done with it". That's what I always tell him. Yesterday, I was forced to work in the office. After returning home, I checked that my son has done with things due this weekend. He answered me with his confidence "Yes"
Q. when parents find out that you lied to them, they usually say "Don't you have something to tell us?". Why do you think they use this phrase?
That's what I heard a lot from my parents while I was growing up. I think it is just that parents give a chance, to tell the truth. It's because they don't want to believe their children aren't liars. Now that I'm a parent, I feel the same about them.
