출장중에 관광을 좀 하고 싶었는데, 그걸 기회가 없었어.

I would like to do some sightseeing during my business trip, but I didn't get a chance to do.

시간이 좀 남아서 구경하고 사진을 찍을 수 있었어.

I have some time left, so I got to look around and take some pictures.

너 거기 있는 동안 현지 음식 먹을 수 있었니?

While you are there, did you get to try some local food?

 

나 누나랑 별로 안 친해. 라이프 스타일이 서로 많이 달라서 공통점이 별로 없다는 것이 가장 큰 것 같아. 어렸을 때 누나는 싱가포르에 있는 삼촌이랑 오래 지내면서 거기서 학교 다녔어. 그래서 우리가 친해질 기회가 없었는데, 그런 이유도 있는 것 같아. 그리고 난 남자고 누나는 여자라는 부분도 있어. 서로 통하는 데에 한계가 있으니깐. 특히, 애초에 남매로써 유대감이 없으니깐 남남이나 다름이 없어.

My sister and I aren't that very close. I think it's mainly because we just have very different lifestyles. So, we simply don't have very much in common. When we were growing up, she stayed with our uncle in Singapore for many years and she did most of her schooling there. So, we never really got a chance to know each other and I think that's partly the reason and I guess some of it simply has to do with the fact that I'm a man and she's woman, you know? We can only share and communicate so much. Especially without that initial bond as brother and sister, we're partically strangers.
